Herbivore

If you haven’t seen a picture of Herbivore’s dreamy yet minimal packaging on instagram, then you’re not following the right people. Founded in 2011, it’s predominantly a skincare brand but their Sea Salt Spray has developed a bit of a cult following. The main ingredient is obviously sea salt but it also includes aloe vera which prevents your hair from drying out and keeps it feeling super soft. If that doesn’t sound like your thing then make sure to check out their hair perfume mists instead. They’re made from a blend of essential oils and come in three scents including rose, jasmine and apricot.

Maria Nila

Maria Nila is a Swedish haircare brand with the most insanely beautiful packaging. They’re fully approved by Peta, The Leaping Bunny and The Vegan Society and are really committed to being sustainable. They also work with several initiatives including Taking Groot, a charity that helps to rebuild areas of the rainforest that have been lost to deforestation. So cool! As for the products, they offer shampoos, conditioners and masks depending on your hair type. There are six ranges including Sheer Silver for bleached hair, Pure Volume for finer hair and Structure and Repair for damaged hair. It’s pretty pricey but a really lovely treat if your locks needs a boost.

COLAB Dry Shampoo

Colab is a relatively new dry shampoo range by beauty blogger Ruth Crilly which is vegan, cruelty free and made in the UK. The sheer invisible formula is so light it’s barely visible and doesn’t leave a thick residue behind either so you don’t have to worry about white patches. As the original formula is so light they also have an extreme volume range which features plumping powders to give you some extra lift. They also come in different scents but our fave is the original formula which has a rose and bergamot fragrance.

Rahua

Rahua oil has the coolest story behind it. In 1990 stylist Fabian Lliguin went to meet women from the Amazonian tribe Quecha-Shuar and discovered they were using Rahua oil to nourish and repair their hair. He was so inspired by their secret that he began working on a haircare line which included the Rahua oil. As the molecules in the oil are so small they penetrate your hair’s cortex so rather than sitting on top of it they nourish your strands from the inside. The range now includes everything from shampoos and conditioners to styling products and masks which are all 100% vegan, cruelty free and beautifully packaged.

They also have at home hair dyes in every pastel shade imaginable as well as ombre, highlights and grey dye kits. If you’re into crazy colours then this is the brand for you.

LUSH

Lush is known for being one of the most sustainable brands and has always been completely cruelty free and vegetarian. Not all of their products are vegan but they do offer some really good options that are worth working into your routine. Their Veganese and Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioners include all natural ingredients like lemon oil and almond milk to nourish your hair. You can also try out their solid conditioners in Jungle and Big as they’re both vegan and take up way less room in the shower. Lastly if you need something for styling check out their Dirty Hair Cream which is a firm hold styling product made with coconut butter to really nourish your hair.
