IGK Foamo Holographic Hair Foam Product Tutorial
When we first saw the pics of the IGK Foamo holographic foam we thought it was definitely photoshopped but it turns out it looks even better in real life. It has an oil slick finish with tonnes of glitter on top that will give your hair all the mermaid vibes this NYE.
The formula is enriched with blue sea kelp and moonstone extract to create the insane metallic effect that’s totally otherworldly. It’s also really highly pigmented and shows up on dark hair just as much as light shades which is one of the best things about it. We went for the Meteor colour which switches between blue and teal but it also comes in the shade Moon Rock which switches from pink to teal.
So if you’re looking for a party hairstyle that will make you stand out this NYE we’ve put together a slicked back look that works really well with the foam.
What you’ll need: The IGK Foamo Holographic Foam, M+B Hair Extensions, Mousse, Hairspray, Comb.
Step 1
To start this look clip in your super long hair extensions for maximum NYE impact. We chose the 20-22” Deluxe Set in the shade Love This Feeling.
Step 2
As you clip in each weft straighten them into your own hair for a super sleek finish. A pro tip is to use your comb in front of the straighteners to remove any kinks.
Step 3
Towards the top of your head keep the clips running up the head horizontally in the middle, at the back so that they aren’t visible with the pushed back style. Once all the hair is straight use some moose along the hairline to remove any kinks for a super smooth and perfected finish.
Step 5
Once all of your hair is super sleek and straight put some hairspray on your hands and smooth down any flyaways. To really perfect the hair you can go back over it with some serum to add loads of shine through the lengths.
Step 6
Now it’s time for the holographic foam! Start by putting one pump of it into your hands and then smooth it over your hair from the roots as far back as you want to. You can then repeat this process as much as you need to until the top of your hair is covered. You can then use a comb to tidy up any messy areas of your hair and to even out the foam and then finish with a dust of hairspray, you’re done!
