We recently caught up with Hollywood Hairstylist Scott King; stylist to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna and top LA artists Julia Michaels, Sabrina Carpenter and Snoh Aalegra, to name a few.
Scott discussed the highs of his career as a celebrity hairstylist and his top hair secrets with Milk+Blush...
I don’t know if I have had a big break exactly, but signing with an agency definitely made my career feel more validated .
What is your proudest moment as a hairstylist?
One of my proudest moments so far was styling the hair for an artist who performed at the Victoria's Secret fashion show. A bucket list moment for me was to do the Victoria Secret show in some capacity and it ended up being the final VS show!
Your top styling secret?
I’m all about keeping hair healthy! So using heat protectants and having your clients’ do at-home treatments, that way the hair stays as healthy as possible which makes the hair and your work look as polished and good as possible.
What hair trends do you think will dominate Summer 2021?
Lots of texture. Natural, beachy, braids- never fails for summer.
Your favourite way to use hair extensions?
I love tape-ins and I can’t live without clip-ins in my kit!
'Extensions really are the 'push up bra' of hair- they add more oomf and volume.'- Scott King Hair
