FAQ

  • Can hair extensions be dyed or toned?

While it is technically possible to dye hair extensions, it is not recommended.

All bleach, permanent tints, certain semi-permanent tints, silver tone shampoos, and perm solutions work by opening the hair cuticle so the product can penetrate the hair shaft. This changes the structure of the hair, leaving it weaker than before treatment. The colour of dyes and toners may also take unevenly, especially if the extensions have been lightened during manufacturing.

Hair extensions are pre-coloured, so any further colouring increases the risk of over-processing. For this reason, Milk & Blush cannot offer a guarantee on hair extensions that have been coloured, and once coloured, they are non-returnable.

  • How long do hair extensions last?

Hair extensions can last several months to over a year with proper care, but diligent maintenance is required. As they are made with real human hair, their lifespan varies depending on factors such as how often they are worn and the products used on them. Since hair is a natural material, longevity can differ slightly from one pack to another. However, we specify only high-quality hair for our extensions and use specialised processing techniques to maintain their integrity.

It’s important to understand that hair extensions are delicate and perishable, requiring more maintenance than natural hair to prolong their lifespan. Factors such as heat styling, the use of styling products, and correct hair care all play a role in keeping them in the best condition. Excessive use of heat tools without heat protection can dry out the hair, while harsh products can strip moisture and cause damage. Environmental factors also have an impact - wind and rain can cause tangling and dryness, while sun exposure, chlorine from pools, and salt water can weaken the hair over time. Following a proper hair care routine, minimising heat styling, and using the right products will help maximise the longevity of your extensions.

  • Where does the hair come from?

Milk & Blush carefully sources raw human hair extensions from various regions worldwide to ensure the highest quality. We collaborate with trusted manufacturers in China, who follow our strict production standards to create premium hair extensions.

Our partners ethically source raw hair from Malaysia, Vietnam, Mongolia, India, and China, depending on the specific product range. The hair is then meticulously processed to meet our quality specifications before being delivered to Milk & Blush.

  • How often can I wear hair extensions?

Clip-In, Fill-In, and Ponytail extensions are best suited for occasional use rather than daily wear. If you’re looking for extensions designed for everyday wear, we recommend exploring our professional range.

Always consult with your stylist to determine if hair extensions are suitable for your hair type and lifestyle.
