    Both tape-in hair extensions and weft tape-in hair extensions are bonded to your natural hair using medical-grade adhesive tape to ensure a strong, long-lasting fit.

    Traditional tape-in extensions are designed in smaller, individual tabs that are typically around 1.5 inches (38-40 mm) in width, whereas weft tape-in extensions are designed in larger panels similar to those of sewn weft hair extensions.

    Weft tape-in extensions provide fuller coverage with one continuous strip, helping to provide fast, realistic, and uniform hair density.

    Both traditional tape-ins and tape-in wefts are popular choices for semi-permanent hair extension results. Our tape-in wefts significantly reduce the fitting and re-adjustment time in appointments and provide seamless, natural results, but our traditional tape-ins remain popular, particularly for fine hair where more focused control over hair density is required and where blending shades is desired.

  • How long do weft tape-in extensions last?

    Milk & Blush tape-in hair extensions can last up to 8- 12 weeks between fittings, before requiring re-adjustment. With the right care routine, the tape-in wefts can last for months, making them suitable for repeated wears and fittings.

    As the hair extensions are bonded with larger weft panels, the fitting and readjustment time is significantly quicker than traditional semi-permanent hair extensions.

  • Can I style tape-in weft extensions with heat tools?

    Yes, our tape-in weft extensions made with 100% Remy human hair can be styled just like your natural hair. You can curl, straighten, and blow-dry them, but always use a heat protectant spray to avoid damaging the hair and weakening the bonds.

  • Can I wash my hair with tape-in weft extensions? And what hair shampoo and conditioner should I use?

    Yes, you can wash your hair with tape-in weft extensions in! We recommend using sulphate-free shampoos and conditioners to protect the adhesive bonds of your weft tape-ins to ensure longer bond hold.

    As a rule of thumb, it’s best to reduce the frequency of washing to avoid loosening the tapes and gently pat your hair dry instead of rubbing to prevent tangles.

  • Can I sleep with my tape-in weft extensions in?

    Yes, you can sleep with your extensions in! We do recommend tying your hair in a loose braid or ponytail to prevent tangling during the night. 

    You can also use a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction, which will help maintain the integrity of your extensions.

  • Can I brush my weft tape-ins?

    Yes, you can! Brushing your extensions helps to keep your hair tangle- and knot-free.

    We recommend using our vegan boar bristle brush to keep your hair and extensions in the best condition; a vegan boar bristle brush is one of the gentlest ways to comb your hair and helps to prevent damage and tangles.

    And while we’re at it, always avoid brushing your hair when wet, as this can cause damage to your natural hair and the extensions.
