Khloe Kardashian’s Hair Hacks
Today’s the day Good American babe Khloe Kardashian turns 34 and we couldn’t be more excited for an excuse to hunt down her hair hacks. We’re pretty obsessed with those tresses and love seeing her switch between every shade of blonde imaginable. That level of glossiness is exactly what we need in our lives…
She Uses Apple Cider Vinegar
Doing an apple cider vinegar rinse can help to remove dandruff and keep your hair looking super healthy. Khloe’s nutritionist Dr Golgia suggested it to her and she’s been using it ever since. It has high levels of acetic acid which lowers the pH level of your skin without being too harsh. It also helps to seal the cuticles, leaving your hair super shiny and soft. For an easy application check out R + Co’s Acid Wash ACV Cleansing Rinse which is perfect for anyone with lots of product build up.
She Gets A Brazilian Blow Dry
While Khloe was pregnant she started embracing her natural curls and confessed on Snapchat that this was because she couldn’t have the treatment while pregnant. A Brazilian blow dry straightens and smoothes your hair for up to 4 months by using chemicals that change its natural state. If you’re prone to frizz or just want to skip heat styling in the morning then we’d recommend checking it out.
She Swears By This Product
While embracing her curly hair she also confessed on Snapchat that she’s loving Jen Atkin’s OUAI Wave Spray. It’s infused with rice protein and is super texturising so it adds lots of volume and gives your hair extra staying power. For the best results use it from root to tip and scrunch your hair to work it in.
If you’re not spending your rent money on a subscription to the Kardashian’s app then you’re not living life right. Khloe posts daily on hers and spills everything from makeup tutorials to recipes that are a must read. In a recent video she spilled on how she stores her mountains of extensions and hair pieces. Each set of hair extensions is in a clear bag to keep it tangle free and then she takes a polaroid of it and stores the bags in boxes to keep track of what she’s got. You could definitely use this hack for your M+B sets by popping a pic on the top of the box.
She Keeps Her Blonde Cool
Transitioning to blonde takes a lot of upkeep so it figures that Khloe would have a good hack for holding onto your colour. In an interview with Stuff magazine she said "I use a purple shampoo once a week to kick up my blonde hair colour, and then I shampoo and condition as normal. Easy!" Purple shampoos counteract brassiness so they keep blonde hair looking really fresh. Just like Khloe pick up yours once a week for the best results.
She Always Uses Heat Protectant
Styling your hair everyday can take its toll so it’s super important that you protect it everytime you pick up a styling tool. It doesn’t have to cost a bomb though, in fact, Khloe’s hair stylist Justine Marjan says she swears by Tresemme’s Repair and Protect Spray. It’s really affordable and easy to get hold of so there’s no excuses.
She Fakes An Ombre
Khloe’s the queen of ombre and there isn’t another celebrity out there with a smoother blend than her. When her hair was shorter she faked her signature look with hair extensions which is the easiest and least damaging way to play with colour. If you want to copy Khloe’s look make sure to check out our ombre shades Bel Air Baby! and Oh My Ombre for the best match.
