The Coolest Hairstyles From LFW

If fashion week is totally off your radar then don’t panic because after the most recent LFW shows we’ve made a list of our fave hairstyles that you need to see. Every season we look to the catwalk for some inspiration on looks that we can create in the M+B studio and we’re never disappointed. Sure we have to tame some stuff down but there’s nothing like fashion week when it comes to hair inspiration…

The Polished Bow at Ashley Williams

Ashley Williams is becoming our go-to designer for hair inspo at the moment after she came out with those cute slogan clips last season. We love this polished bow though and it really helps to elevate the simple top knot hairstyle. You could definitely recreate this look on a budget too with a strip of black ribbon so there’s no excuse not to try it out.

Simone Rocha’s Beaded Crowns

These crowns are so pretty and paired with the soft, swept back waves are giving us all the princess vibes. We love how girly and feminine the hair is and a hairband is the best way to hide any pesky flyaways so we’ll definitely be trying out this trend.

Cloud Colour at Mary Katrantzou

Colour genius Josh Wood created this gorgeous look to match Mary Katrantzou’s elements inspired collection. The pastel hair was created by hand painting hair extension wefts in two different designs he named ‘colour clouds’ and ‘horizon colour’ before clipping them into the models hair. The result was this gorgeous windswept look that was really textured and super messy.

Intricate Details At Burberry

This is such an out there hairstyle but we love how detailed they went with this look at Burberry. Guido Palau created the style by twisting small sections of hair into place and lacquering them with hairspray to form the delicate shapes. We’re not sure we’d go for the full look but we’d definitely try out this technique.

Huge Hair At Ashish

Definitely not for the faint hearted but we’re very much in love with this full volume look at Ashish. Stylist Sam McKnight created these looks for the show using long wigs that he backcombed and accessorised with diamante clips. It was inspired by supermodels of the 60s like Verushka and Jean Shrimpton but the hair was taken sky high to reflect to crazy vibe of the collection.

Sleek And Glossy At JW Anderson

This look is giving us major 1920s vibes and we love how structured the section is at the front. Stylist Anthony Turner created the look by combing the hair into place and then using clips to hold the section while it dried. This is the best technique for getting 1920s style finger waves and we think with a little less shine it would be perfect for date night.

How gorgeous are these hairstyles? We can’t wait to start trying out these ideas and experimenting with these looks for next season. If you loved this post then make sure to catch up on all the latest hair trends here and let us know your favourites in the comments :)
