Pinterest searches for curtain bangs are up by 600% right now so you can bet that this is a hair trend with major staying power. We’re totally here for it though as it’s so much more flattering and way less upkeep than your classic, blunt cut bangs. If that’s not convincing enough some of the coolest girls on instagram have already been rocking them and we’ve found some of our faves for a little haircut inspiration.
70s Style We love Alexa Chung’s 70s style bangs with these glossy crimped waves and it’s a really low maintenance look if you’re not into doing your hair. These bangs are also a little shorter so it’ll give you that classic Bardot vibe which is really flattering.
With A Low Pony Nicole Richie has been our fave for hair inspo since the last season of The Simple Life when she got that killer bob cut. These longer, middle parted bangs look amazing with her textured low pony and are long enough to clip back and hide which is perfect for lazy hair days.
French Vibes If you haven’t heard of Jeanne Damas before she’s basically the coolest girl on the planet and her curtain bangs are the stuff hair dreams are made of. We love her signature style and this short cut with a really subtle ombre colour works so well with her natural hair texture.
Bright Pink If you love a bold colour then Georgia Jagger’s layered cut with grown out curtain bangs looks insane in bright pink. We love that it’s a way more polished rather than grungy take on bright hair and it’ll help to add some extra volume if you’ve overdone it with the bleach.
With A Beret We love these bangs and if you have a super long set of Milk + Blush hair extensions then you could definitely nail this look. They work really well with her hat too and we like that she’s had them cut really thick rather than wispy, so that they make a bigger statement.
With A Blunt Bob There’s nothing better than nailing two trends in one look and these curtain bangs with a super short, blunt bob work perfectly together. We also love how this cut is quite choppy to add loads of texture and volume along with her gorgeous shade.
Shaggy Layers If you have fine hair and need some extra thickness then this shaggy, layered cut would be perfect to pair with your curtain bangs. We love this cocoa brown shade. It's a gorgeous colour for winter and will help to make your hair look really glossy.
We’re definitely going to experiment with some curtain bangs this year and we can’t wait to try out all of these looks in the M+B studio. We’ve also got loads more hair inspo' on the blog including the SS19 hair trends you need to know if you fancy some more reading.
