Recreating The Hailey Baldwin Vogue Japan Cover - Ultra Long Hair Extensions

the-hailey-baldwin-vogue-japan-cover-milk-and-blush-hair-extensions A lot of amazing things have been going on in Hailey Baldwin’s life recently. Not only is she killing it as a model (we wish we had those legs) but she’s also engaged to Justin Bieber and has shot one of our fave Vogue covers of all time. The particular shoot we’re talking about was for Vogue Japan and is the chicest interpretation of Shania Twain’s ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ music video we’ve ever seen. Not only that but we were beyond swooning over her waist length, blonde hair too and seeing as we’re tress obsessed we thought we would recreate the look for you guys. 2018-3-the-hailey-baldwin-vogue-japan-cover-milk-and-blush-hair-extensions 2018-3-the-hailey-baldwin-vogue-japan-cover-milk-and-blush-hair-extensions We used our 24-26” Superior Set in the shade Second Base for this shoot as it’s super long just like Hailey’s. This set comes in all of our shades too so even if you’re not blonde you can still try out this look. Here are the steps... 2018-3-the-hailey-baldwin-vogue-japan-cover-milk-and-blush-hair-extensions

Step 1

You’re going to need to prep your hair and the extensions with a heat protector first as this look requires a lot of straightening. For this we used the GHD Heat Protect Spray and combed it through the lengths to ensure an even coverage.

Step 2

Next you need to take a small section at the nape of your neck and clip in your first weft. If your hair is on the finer side you might want to back comb your roots a little bit to give your clips extra hold. Once your weft is clipped in you can then straighten the weft with your own hair to get a seamless blend. If you’re struggling with this then click here for a quick tutorial.

Step 3

Next you want to repeat this process until all of your wefts are clipped in and straightened. Once you’re done you can then go in with a serum to get a really silky finish. We love the Tigi Bed Head After-Party Smoothing Cream because it’s lightweight and non-greasy but adds loads of shine. To get the best coverage rub a small amount in your hands first and then run them through your hair rather than applying it straight to your locks.

Step 4

To finish the look and to tame any flyaways around your hairline you can use a toothbrush and some hairspray to gently comb them back into place. Just make sure to comb from the roots down your hair each time to keep everything super smooth. Done!
