We’re bringing you ultimate summer vibes this week with our fave pool party and vacation hairstyles using your Milk + Blush Hair Extensions. All three hairstyles are seriously cool while still being easy to achieve and maintain in that gorgeous summer heat. So whether you’re jetting off to Ibiza or Marbella, you and your girlfriends are guaranteed to turn heads poolside.
You can create these styles with your natural hair as well as your Milk + Blush Extensions but if you do decide to rock your M+B hair to a pool party or to the beach we would recommend not getting them wet. If you fancy a dip tie your hair up into a high bun to keep it out of the water or create these styles without your extensions.
Scarf Top Knot
This hairstyle is perfect if you want to put your hair up to stay cool in the heat but still look cute and express your personality.
The addition of a scarf makes this top knot unlike any other. Not only does it add a pop of colour but it also helps keep any layers or annoying stray hairs from poking out of the top knot keeping it sleek and in place all day.
There are many different ways to incorporate this accessory into your top knot. We’ve used the tail ends of the scarf to create two strands of a three strand braid but you can experiment with wrapping or twisting the scarf around the hair too.
Swept Back and Sassy
This swept back hairstyle is perfect for a pool party. It keeps any unruly hair at bay and looks as if you’ve just stepped out of the pool with your hair perfectly and effortlessly slicked back.
Hair products play a big part in creating this hairstyle - more specifically products with great holding power and smoothing properties. We used a combination of TIGI Bed Head After Party Styling Cream and TIGI Bed Head Hard Head Hard Hold Hairspray to sweep back the hair and hold it in place giving it that slick, almost wet, appearance. Products like this can also fight frizz in the heat so you can be sure that your look stays smooth all day.
This is such a fierce look and is a perfect day to night. After a long day of sunning it up simply comb back any flyaways, add a little more hairspray and you’re ready to hit the strip!
“Natural” Summer Curls
If your hair is flat and lacking in texture this is the look for you. Using a chopstick curler can give you gorgeous natural looking curls that stay put all day. Trust us, no one will know that you weren't naturally blessed with all that volume and bounce.
Because these curls are so tight they’ll last a whole lot longer than beachy waves or classic curls meaning you won’t need to restyle your hair after a day at the pool. Plus they’ll still be cute even after they’ve dropped a little.
If your hair has a tendency to be a little unruly in humid weather this look will work for you. If anything a little extra body only makes it better - big hair, don’t care!
