Autumn is almost here and we’re counting down the days until we pop ourselves back in some woolly coats and jumpers. The same goes for our hair, as braids and beachy waves are becoming a little boring and we're more than ready for something new. As with the start of every season, we're thinking ahead about our new vibe and Instagram has already thrown us a few trends that we're really excited about. So whether you're thinking of a big change or just want to experiment with a new hairstyle, these are the fall trends you need to see...
Curtain Bangs
You can thank blogger Matilda Djerf for the sudden rise in this look and it’s not set to go anywhere either thanks to its volume inducing potential. Think messy Bardot vibes and you’re on the right track. Curtain bangs are universally flattering and way easier to maintain than shorter bangs making them perfect for lazy girls who want good hair.
Hair Clips
This trend has been around for so long and it really isn’t going anywhere. We love the idea of hair clips paired with knits and textured fabrics in the winter and it’s a great way to save your windswept hair. It’s moving on from polish, pearl hair clips though and into a more eclectic mix of shapes and styles. Don’t be afraid to experiment with this trend either, the better.
Blunt Ends
If the blunt bob isn’t for you then you can keep your length and go for some seriously blunt ends instead. Kim Kardashian has been rocking this look in a mid-length bob and there’s something about a fresh cut that makes your hair look insanely healthy.
Silk Hair Band
This is another trend that’s following on from the summer but thanks to Zara making several of their own versions, you know it’s going to be big. These silk hairbands are not like the ones you wore in high school though and are inspired by the Prada runway last season. They’re really thick and stick up a lot higher on your head for way more impact. We’d pair these with some textured waves to avoid it looking to princessy and with some face-framing pieces in the front.

One colour trend that seems to be outgrowing the rest is warm, brunette highlights. This rich combination creates instantly glossy hair and adds loads of dimension, making it look thicker and healthier. As much as pastel shades are still popular this is the key trend for anyone looking for something more wearable.
